Raise Cumbria, Full of Noises and Autus Cumbria invite you to an afternoon celebration of woodland creation at How Tun Woods in Hawcoat, Barrow-in-Furness on Friday 4 April from 12.30pm - 3pm.
Join us for some foraged nettle and wild garlic soup and refreshing birch bud tea.
Learn about your local woodland species with Raise Cumbria’s Woodland Creation Advisor, Nathan Curry.
Hear about the new tree planting from members of Autus.
Make a birdsong score from natural materials with artist and ornithophile, Amy Stretch-Parker.
Engage in a mindful sensory exploration and create a collaborative sounds piece with Hannah Kessler.
Learn more about this fantastic, neurodivergent-led woodland creation project and how you can get more involved in the future of How Tun Wood.
Suitable for all ages. Children must be supervised at all times. This event is FREE. This event is outdoors so please come prepared with suitable clothing and footwear. Depending on the weather, the ground may be muddy in places.
